West Papua (formerly Irian Jaya Barat) is a province of Indonesia which is located in the western part of Papua Island. Manokwari is the capital. Papua and West Papua provinces, which have a special autonomy status. This area includes the area of the provincial head of a bird island and Papua island around them. In the north, this province is limited by the Pacific Ocean, the western boundary with the province of North Maluku and Maluku provinces, the eastern part limited by Cenderawasih Bay, Seram Sea to the south and southeastern borders with the province. West Papua has been made even though this province apart, but still get special treatment as mainland provinces.
